Nimble Streamer takes MPEG2-TS via UDP and HTTP to make outgoing media streams in various formats. UDP can be used as both unicast and multicast. Nimble supports multicast source IP according to RFC4607 SMM.
Playlists import is supported for multiple channels.
Enhanced interleaving compensation can be set up in case when your audio and video are un-synchronized.
Both LATM and ADTS AAC headers are supported.
Mux rate can be set to handle DVB/ATSC hardware with 100% PCR accuracy, 0ns PCR drift and PCR interval <20ms.

Codecs

Video:

  • H.264, MPEG1, MPEG2 and MPEG4 input and output
  • H.265 input via MPEG-TS, SRT, UDT and RTSP with output via MPEG-DASH, RTSP, SRT, UDT, MPEG-TS and HLS
Audio:
  • AAC input and output is supported via all protocols
  • AC3 and E-AC3 input via MPEG-TS and RTSP, output via MPEG-TS, RTSP and HLS
  • MP3 input and output via all protocols

Producing HLS and MPEG-DASH from MPEG2TS

Nimble Streamer transmuxes incoming MPEG2-TS into HLS and DASH streams.

Recording

Nimble Streamer has DVR feature set which allows recording of any MPEG-TS live streams for further playback via HLS and MPEG-DASH.

MPEG2TS delivery

Nimble Streamer allows delivering existing MPEG2TS by both existing transport methods.

  • Take MPEG2TS via both UDP and HTTP.
  • UDP buffer setup is available.
  • Create HTTP MPEG2TS outgoing stream with its respective URL.
  • Set up via same scenario as other transmuxing.
  • Transmux up to 256 RTMP, RTSP and MPEG2-TS streams into single multi-program MPEG2-TS UDP stream.
  • Producr of single-program outgoing MPEG-TS UDP stream.
  • Both unicast and multicast output delivery methods are supported.

MPEG2TS playback

Nimble Streamer allows playing live streams via HTTP MPEG2TS.
You can set it up using this scenario along with other output protocols.

Re-package between live protocols.

Same transmuxing engine allows re-packaging MPEG-TS content from and into the following protocols.

Hot swap

Hot swap capabilities allow switching between source origin and substitute streams with no glitches or artifacts:

H.265/HEVC support

Nimble has HEVC support for MPEG-TS as output. As a source, you can use RTSP, SRT, UDT, and MPEG-TS over UDP and TCP besides H.264.

Aliasing

Stream aliases are available for making flexible security settings and statistics.

Easy installation and upgrade
